Many great things have come our way this year, we have three new members in the group, Denver Hoskins of Salem, Ark came on board, playing mandolin/guitar lead and singing lead and harmony; Dwight Murdy, Branson, MO, playing banjo, singing lead and harmony, Jimmy Wingo of Swifton, Ark playing bass, singing lead and harmony. The group have several great bookings to play this year, see our schedule.
They will be going into the studo at Joe Beaver Studio at Horseshoe Bend, Ark to start recording their new project, My Mountain Home, a trubute to the legends who have preserved our kind on music.
Southern Missouri Bluegrass will headliner again this year in July for the Winnebago Rally in Forest City, Iowa,
Denver has started his weekly television show on channel 38 at West Plains, Mo; he will be playing 6 PM each Thursday night. The program is on several cable networks.
Southern Missouri Bluegrass will be working with the Alzheimers Association of Springfield, Mo doing concerts, for awareness of the disease and raise funds for the association the association will have a walk for alzheimers at West Plains, Mo on August 28, Southern Missouri Bluegrass will promote a concert at the Avenue Theatre on Washington Avenue at West Plains, Mo on August 27 at 7 PM
